瑞典教育部國際署署長Mr. Ulf Melin蒞實中參訪

瑞典教育部國際署署長Mr. Ulf Melin偕夫人於1030日蒞實中參訪。 Mr. Melin於今年八月接掌國際署,主管各項瑞典教育部之國際合作事宜,以及協助及輔導各級學校、學術機構及公司行號參與各項國際合作方案,特別是協助青年學子與在職教師參與歐盟各項國際計畫,透過交換教師、交換學生、遊學及工讀等方式,增加國際經驗,以加速推動國際間資訊與人員之交流。Melin署長對台灣之教育現況表示十分有興趣,也希望此次來台訪問,能促進瑞典與我國之間更實質的教育交流。

 

國際小學數學奧林匹亞競賽     雙語部陳柏恩榮獲數學總冠軍

由印尼教育部舉辦之「國際小學數學及科學奧林匹亞競賽」,雙語部五年級陳柏恩榮獲金牌,以及象徵最高榮譽的數學總冠軍獎盃。此競賽之目的在提供小學數學及科學之國際交流機會,並激發資優學生數學及科學的潛能。今年的比賽於十一月十二日至十七日舉行,共有來自新加坡、印尼、馬來西亞、泰國、香港、菲律賓等各國好手競逐。陳柏恩同學在激烈競爭中脫穎而出,榮獲金牌以及數學總冠軍,誠屬殊榮。感謝陳同學為校爭光,以及印娟娟老師認真指導,並預祝陳柏恩同學將來再創佳績。

 

「實中之光榮譽榜」揭幕

「實中之光榮譽榜」於1110日校運會當天揭幕,榮登金榜之在學同學以及畢業校友多人,均應邀偕家長一同回校參加此一頗富意義的盛會。行政大樓一樓中堂新設置之「實中之光榮譽榜」,紀錄了實中學子參與國際各項學術競賽,以及全國性特優表現之榮耀。榮譽榜上雋刻著姓名的獎牌,見證了同學們在實中歷史上留下的光榮足跡。感謝前校長邱億明先生暨夫人到場觀禮並勉勵,讓在場師生及家長備感溫馨;並期許在學的學弟妹們要傳承此一優良校風,在自我期許與表現上更上層樓。

 

國小部合唱團   榮獲新竹市合唱第一名

九十六學年度新竹市國小團體合唱比賽,於1126日在新竹市文化局演藝廳舉行,國小部合唱團榮獲第一。去年方成軍的國小部合唱團,由五、六年級共計60位學生組成;在謝明媛老師及施相如老師的用心指導下,緊鑼密鼓的利用早自習、午休及星期天認真練習三個月,而得以在此次二十三個參賽團體中脫穎而出榮獲冠軍。謹向合唱團全體師生致賀,並預祝他們在代表新竹市參加全國比賽時再創佳績。

 

國小部與高中部多位教師為校爭光

96年新竹市語文競賽,國小部多位老師參加教師組各項競賽,戰果輝煌;計有南方芝老師榮獲作文第一名,李和純老師榮獲閩語演說第二名,徐世衡老師榮獲國語演說第三名,以及蘇純慧老師榮獲閩語朗讀第四名。而高中部顏貽隆老師參加思源科技教育基金會主辦之2007年金獅獎高中優良教案徵選 ,亦 以「正餘弦的疊合」榮獲金獅獎金牌。教師們在認真教學之餘,還能自我充實與成長,而在各項校外競賽中為校爭光,令人感佩,特此致賀。

 

輔導室推動九十六年度之實中志工「志願服務計畫」

輔導室推動九十六年度之實中志工「志願服務計畫」,召募「熱心教育的家長及社區人士、本校退休教師及畢業校友、以及國中以上之在校學生及教職員工」,以愛心及耐心服務學校師生。而為充實志工對志願服務之基本認知,輔導室並辦理「校園志願服務人員基礎教育訓練」;今年在十月份已完成計四次計12 小時之課程,視需要還有第二階段12小時之特殊訓練課程;訓練期滿的志工並發給訓練結業證書。志工之公開召募時間為每年3月及9月,有熱誠加入志工行列之家長、學生及社區人士請直接洽詢各部。

DIRECTOR GENERAL MR. ULF MELIN VISITS NEHS

 The New Director General at the International Programme Office for Education and Training in Sweden, Mr. Ulf Melin, visited NEHS along with his wife on Oct. 30th. Mr. Melin took up the post of Director General in August, 2007, and has been in charge of the international affairs within the Swedish Ministry of Education since. Additionally, he has assisted with various projects of global scales staged by an assortment of institutions. His main focus has been on helping students and teachers participate in projects of the European Union to expand their experiences and increase globalization through a change of scene. Director Melin has expressed his interest in Taiwanese education and looks forward to a mutual educational exchange between Sweden and Taiwan.

 

BILINGUAL STUDENT BRIAN CHEN WINS THE CHAMPIONSHIP FOR JUNIOR MATH OLYMPIAD

 The International Mathematics and Science Olympiad for Primary Schools, hosted by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, took place during the time frame of Nov 12th to 17th, with participants from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and various other Southeast Asian countries. Brian Chen, from the fifth grade class of the Bilingual Department, was awarded a gold medal as well as the Best Overall Performance in Mathematics Competitions, the highest honor attainable in this international event. Congratulations to Brain for his outstanding performance, and much thanks to his instructor, Ms. Christine Yin, for her guidance.

 

NEHS HONOR ROLL SHOWCASE UNVEILS ON FIELD DAY

On November 10th, the day of the field day, the National Experimental High School Honor Roll Showcase was officially unveiled. Students and alumni presented with this glory all proudly invited family to school for this celebration. Located at the main entrance of the first floor of the administration building, the NEHS Honor Roll Showcase displays national and international triumphs awarded to students of NEHS. These plaques represent the permanent signatures that honorable students firmly wrote onto NEHS history. Special thanks to previous principle Mr. Chiu and his wife for honoring us with his presence at the celebration, and best wishes to all current students to continue this great tradition and further improve ourselves.

 

ELEMENTARY DEPARTMENT CHOIR WINS FIRST PLACE IN HSINCHU CITYWIDE CHOIR COMPETITION

Elementary Department Choir won first place in the 2007 Hsinchu City Choir Competition which took place on November 26 in the Performing Arts Center at the Hsinchu City Bureau of Cultural Affairs. The elementary choir, which was only established last year, is made up of 60 fifth and sixth graders; these talented students practiced diligently under the patient guidance of Ms. Min-Yuan Hsieh and Ms. Hsiang-ru Shih on schooldays and Sundays. It is because of their hard work that they were able to win first place out of a total of twenty-three participating groups. We congratulate and applaud the teachers and students, and hope that they bring glory home once again at the Nationals.

 

TEACHERS OF ELEMENTARY DEPARTMENT AND HIGH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT BRING GLORY TO NEHS

Several teachers from the Elementary Department participated in the 2007 Hsinchu Citywide Language and Literature Competition and won honors. Ms. Fang-jih Nan won first place in the writing competition, Ms. Huh-tsuen Lee won second place in the Taiwanese speech contest, Mr. Shi-hung Hsu won third place in the Chinese speech contest, and Ms. Tsuen-hwei Su won fourth place in the Taiwanese reciting contest.  In the 2007 SpringSoft Education Foundation E-teaching Competition, High School Department teacher Mr. Yi-long Yen won the Golden Lion award for his superb PowerPoint teaching program. These multiple honors that the outstanding teachers have brought back are testaments not only to their wonderful teaching, but also to their spirit of striving for excellence. We warmly congratulate and recognize their achievements.

 

2007 NEHS VOLUNTEER SERVICE PLAN INVITES YOUR DEDICATION

The High School Guidance Office has started the 2007 NEHS Volunteer Service Plan inviting parents, community members, retired teachers, alumni, and all high school students to provide service to the school. To further inform the willing participants of this service, the Guidance Office has been hosting Volunteer Basic Training Workshops. The first four sessions, each lasting three hours, were completed in October. The Advanced Training Workshops will be hosted as needed at a later time. Volunteers are awarded a certificate upon completion of the training. The official sign-up period for volunteering is in March and September every year. Interested volunteers should contact the administration office of each department directly.
