Department, the kindergarten department, and the Bilingual
Department's D.Co and cheerleaders will also perform as part of
the celebration. Another performance will be given by a group of
24 teachers from the elementary department, middle school
department, and bilingual department, and is highly anticipated
by the whole school. The schedule for the anniversary
celebration further includes the lively school flea market and
charity fair, exciting displays of student projects, and a
karaoke contest for students from high-school department and
bilingual department from grades 10 to 12. There is also a
performance from the specially invited Mixed Disabled Arts
Group. The next day, Thursday, March 20, a Christian a cappella

NEHS Seniors Excel in the 2014
College Exams
A total of 149 seniors from NEHS
took the 2014 college exam, and the scores were released on
February 13. This year, two NEHS students received the full
score (75 points): H303’s Chi-Wen-Huang and Juen Tsuan Wang.
Furthermore, seventeen students earned seventy-four points,
twenty one students earned seventy-three points, simultaneously
taking 51% of the proportion of students earning seventy points
nationwide. On a larger scale, NEHS students performed
excellently. Let’s show our gratitude to the hardworking teachers
who painstakingly guided and taught these students, and
congratulations to this year's seniors for performing
outstandingly. Wish the graduates of 2014 to be accepted into
their dream colleges.
NEHS Students Excel at National
Science Competitions
H301 Yun-Roo Wu, H303 Ya-Zhu Chan,
H305 Jing-Chen Chan, Wei-Chen Chen, and Yen-Ting Liu won the
bronze medal at the 6th Taiwan Young-Student Physicists
Tournament (TYPT). The tournament requires high school students
to team up to work out complicated scientific questions, present
their solutions in a compelling manner, and defend their answers
in an ensuing debate. Competing students must not only be
skilled at English and physics skills, but also must be patient
and persevering. Since the debates are also done in English, the
competition is extremely difficult. Additionally, H304 Chang-Yi
Chen and Ching-Feng Chen won the third prize in the zoology
field of the 2014 Taiwan International Science Fair, and their
project was entered into the 2014 International Environment &
Scientific Project Olympiad (INESPO). Special thanks to Mr. Chen
and Mr. She for their instruction and support.
