Research Proposal for Future School Development Approved |
立法院於87年度預算審查會議中作成附帶決
議：實中應朝「公辦民營」或「純民間興學」可
行性進行評估。此外，行政院亦指示本校應針對
未來發展方向進行研究評估。基於此，本校已委
託台灣師大教育研究中心評估各種辦學型態的可
行性，進行為期一年之研究。本校並於85年8月1
日邀集相關單位針對師大教研中心所提研究計畫
，進行審查，已獲通過。

In the Budget Committee in April, the Legislatve Yuan concluded that "NEHS should evaluate the possibilities of moving towards 'government owned/private sector run' or 'privatization' "Also, the Executive Yuan asked the school to reevaluate future school development. Our school has commissioned the Education Research Center at National Taiwan Normal University to research this important issue. The research proposal by NTNU was approved on August 1 by a committee and the project will be completed by the end of June, 1998.

| 日、法、德等多種第二外語供學生選讀

Foreign Language Courses Offered |
本校雙語部、實驗部自84學年度起就分別開
設有德語和日語、法語等第二外國語課程，供高
中學生依興趣、能力自由選課。今年，跨部選修
的課程設計，提供學生更多的選擇機會。目前設
有初級日語、法語、德語供高一學生選修，高二
學生則延續上年度繼續修習進階課程。課程教授
除由本校雙語部外籍教師擔任外，並延聘鄰近大
學相關學系教師兼任授課，提供學生加深、加廣
的語文學習機會。

Since the beginning of the ‘95 school year, the Bilingual Department and the Experimental Department have been offering German, French and Japanese courses to junior high and high school students. This year, with the cross-department elective courses, students have much more to choose from. There are Japanese 1, French1, and German 1 courses offered to 10th graders. Eleventh graders can continue their foreign language studies by taking a more advanced course the second year. Teachers of these foreign language courses not only include foreign teachers from the Bilingual Department, but also professors of the related subjects from nearby universities-which gives the students a more in-depth learning experience.

Outstanding College and High School Acceptance Rate |
在本校實施以學年學分制代替留級制度的實
驗課程中，85學年度實驗部高中首屆畢業生110
人（含資優跳級報考1人），其中出國升學者2人
，參加推薦甄選錄取者33人，數理資優保送者4
人，參加大學聯考錄取者62名，大學升學率為
91.8%。
國中部畢業生 174名，繼續就讀本校高中部
有57名，考取新竹中學、新竹女中共14名、師大
附中1名，計有41.4%之國中畢業生如願進入第一
志願就讀，以考取公立高中計算，共有 110名，
其餘六十三名均進入公私立五專、高職及私立高
中就讀。

In 1996 school year, a total of 110 students graduated from the Experimental High School (including one who enrolled in the advanced placement examination). These students are also the first graduates who were under the experimental system of using semester credits instead of the old system of being held back.
Of these graduates, two students continued their education abroad; thirty-three students were accepted to colleges through the Alternate College Placement Process, and four students of advanced math & science classes were granted special exceptional admissions to colleges. Sixty-two students who enrolled in the joint-entrance exam were accepted. Thus, a college acceptance rate was 91.8%.
Of the 175 junior high school graduates, 54 students continued their high school education at NEHS; 17 were accepted into famous boys’ and girls’ high schools in Hisnchu; and 40.6% of all graduating junior high school students attended their first choice of high school.
