工作簡報
這學期學聯會所辦的活動，自高國一新生訓練第二天展開。新生訓練中的大地遊戲是學聯會幹部犧牲部份暑假，絞盡腦汁而來。大地遊戲安排的九大關卡——給我抱抱（醫護室）、變臉（合作社）、〞操〞場（操場）…等。這些關卡的設置不只是為了讓新生們互相認識，動動筋骨，更是藉此認識學校及其設置機構和學生密切的關係，想必這群新鮮人對班上同學，及各處室的功能多多少少都有進一層的了解，高國一的惶恐、及陌生也當在今後逐漸褪去。
高一「迎星會」在開學第二個禮拜的濃濃烤肉香中揭幕，當晚活動還有營火晚會，學長學姊不惜〞下火〞跳舞，唱歌、演短劇，這些活動全為了歡迎高一新生，希望不論是高一的學弟妹，或高二的學長姊都是溢著笑容滿足而歸。
接下來的活動，學聯會籌劃了球類比賽，讓各位喜愛球類的同學〞較量〞一下，當然，目的不在獲勝，而是鼓勵同學從事健康的休閒活動（學聯會很關心同學身心健康的！！）
這學期最受注目、最叫人期待的活動，莫過於是舞會之舉辦，約莫在學期尾聲，學聯會將辦個學生舞會，我們絕不辜負同學之重望，同學千萬拭目以待。

Bilingual Department Student Council
Meets Public
The Bilingual Department Student Council (also known as BDSC) is the official
student government of the Bilingual Department. It consists of three councils.
The Honor Council is a select group of dedicated members who are retained from
the previous year for their outstanding activity participation and substantial
contributions to the Bilingual Department Student Council. The Honor Council
is primarily responsible for representing the entire student body. The Executive
Council members, on the other hand, are responsible for representing the interests
of their individual classes. Each seventh through twelfth grade homeroom elects
two representatives to the Executive Council. The last council, the Activity
Council, consists of students interested and enthusiastic in providing additional
assistance in actions taken by the Bilingual Department Student Council. These
students are selected through an application process at the beginning of the
school year.
Such large student participation enables the Bilingual Department Student Council
to undertake numerous large-scale activities and to hold a substantial voice
in the student body. This year, the Fifth Bilingual Department Student Council
has several plans to address pressing school issues, improve relations between
the departments, and provide the students with numerous enjoyable and exciting
activities.
Plans for the 1998-1999 school year include New Students’ Orientation, the Club
Presidents’ Summit, more frequent Students’ Open Forum sessions, a Teachers’
Day activity, an October Dance, a Mural Painting activity, the annual BDSC Raffle,
Career Day, a Stocking Design Contest, a winter dance, and cooperative planning
of the annual Experimental Department Winter Formal Dance. In addition, members
and officers of the Bilingual Department Student Council are extremely open
to any new and exciting ideas for activities.
The Fifth Bilingual Department Student Council officers are the President, Jessica
Huang (Class of 1999), Vice-President, Albert Lin (Class of 1999), Treasurer,
Kevin Duh (Class of 1999), and Secretary, Joy Su (Class of 1999). Officers of
the Fifth Bilingual Department Student Council are extremely excited about the
coming year and look forward to a fun-filled and productive school year. Officers
of the Bilingual Department Student Council are open to any ideas, suggestions,
