Under the guidance of High School Department history teacher Ms. Tang Yuan-Hua, the junior classes of the high school department have finished newspapers featuring important events in Western history. The juniors learned about basic facts of important Western historical events such as the American Revolution and the French Revolution through various meaningful lectures in class. In addition students conducted research into their subjects to develop their critical thinking and overall analyzing skills. The students tried as best they could to turn their words into those resembling newspaper articles. Besides the articles, the students also created pictures, graphs, cartoons, caricatures, and classified ads, giving the newspaper an authentic feel. The project was not only beneficial educationally, but also taught the students the importance of teamwork.
