Our School¡¦s First Educational Trip to Japan

Last year, the Ministry of Education announced a policy for overseas educational trips, hoping to increase the students¡¦ knowledge of various subjects as well as their views on different cultures. They plan to spread the whole school¡¦s view on the world through the experiences and speeches of the students who went. Our school started planning this in the November of 2011, and planned a six day trip from May 13 to May 18 to Japan. With a total of 37 middle and high school students, they mainly visited Tokyo and Nagano. Aside from visiting two high schools, they also experienced Japanese lifestyle, and their culture. Before they left, the students had to improve their Japanese skills as well as creating thank you cards. The school hopes that through international exchanges, the students can broaden their views and have an educational experience typically not available to tourists.
