■Bilingual Department Student Council
  學聯會

The Bilingual Department Student Council is the officially endorsed student government in the Bilingual Department. The BDSC is dedicated to serving the students, and it is different from any other clubs because it is a council, or government. We are able to talk with the school administrators to get some changes to better the lives of the students. We do not only focus on community service, or dances, or communications. WE COVER ALL OF IT! The BDSC is also the largest organization in the Bilingual Department. This gives us great advantage in organizing fun activities for the students by the students.

Youth United for Peace

Yup (Youth United for Peace) is about interacting with people around the world and learning about their cultures. This is accomplished by sending our mascots, stuffed dogs (YUP pups), to different countries and recording their travels mainly through photos. This year we hope to send more YUP pups to foreign countries and organized the photos we get back to form a book. Anyone from grade 7 through 12 is welcome to join. Please contact Chuan-Mie Lee in 10A for more information.

■Helping Our Polluted Environment
  環保社

H.O.P.E. (Helping Our Polluted Environment) is the Bilingual Department's first environmental club. It started in 1995 with four members but the number quickly grew to twenty by the next year. Our core activities include: recycling paper, plastics, and aluminum cans; planting trees; and picking up trash. We also include on our agenda other activities to promote environmental awareness throughout the year. (For example: Environmental Bee, recycling contests, donations to international organizations, etc.) We hope this year will prove to be as productive as our last.

■Animated Comic Club
  動畫社

ACC is the Bilingual Department's Animated Comic Club. In the past, ACC has taught basic drawing, showed movies, and discussed how to draw good comics. This year, we plan to draw & publish a monthly comic, inform people about upcoming club-related events, and have other fun activities. Our long-term goal is to have menbers enter in yearly comic drawing contests in Taiwan. If you are interested in joining ACC, feel free to stop by the 12th grade classroom at 12:20 on Monday or Tuesday.
