本校熱情參與第十九屆蕙竹社跳蚤市場 

新竹科學園區蕙竹社於1115日在園區舉辦了第19屆的慈善義賣。在本校吳榕峯校長帶領及本校管樂社銅管四重奏的悠揚樂聲中,揭開了跳蚤市場溫馨的序幕。感謝學務處多位同仁們全程參與;在吳校長熱情的叫賣聲中,將學校師生捐助的二手物資和愛心香菇茶葉蛋銷售一空,並將所有收入全數捐給新竹恩典青少年之家。

 

林錦蘭女士當選97學年度家長會會長

九十七學年度第一次家長代表大會已於1024日晚上舉行,經家長委員改選後, 選出新委員31名,再由委員中推選常委9名,最後由國小部家長林錦蘭女士榮膺本屆家長會會長。我們期待在林會長的領導下,家長會與學校的互動將更順暢圓滿。

 

賀國小部學生參加苗栗縣縣長盃足球錦標賽 獲冠亞季軍

國小部邱雲霞老師數年來結合歷屆班親會家長後援會,從事假日課後親子足球運動推廣。今年國小部熱愛足球運動的三至六年級的學生們,參加苗栗縣縣長盃足球錦標賽成果豐碩,榮獲冠亞季軍。同學們每週規律運動,不只可以鍛鍊身體,更可以培養團隊精神。恭喜足球隊隊員團的努力獲得肯定。

 

Humane Society 社會關懷社”獲選新竹市97年度優秀青年志工團體

雙語部學生社團「社會關懷社」,由於關心校園及週遭的流浪犬成效卓著,獲選新竹市97年度優秀青年志工團體,是得獎的26個團體中年紀最輕的。上學年開始,這群「社會關懷社」成員,在剛退休的校護梁慧芳小姐及家長柳毓芬老師的帶領及協助下,悉心照顧這30隻遭人惡意棄養的流浪犬,除了溜狗、洗澡、餵食外,最重要的要募款替這近30隻流浪犬打預防針,於是成員們將每隻流浪狗拍寫真並製做500份月曆及行事曆義賣,而且將義賣所得成功的支付預防針費用。在此恭賀他們獲得肯定及受到表揚。

 

幼稚園部配合英文課程舉辦感恩節文化教學 

為配合感恩節的到來,幼稚園部的英文課程將於1126日當天舉辦一系列活動。除了有英文戲劇呈現感恩節的由來,還有小朋友可愛的火雞舞表演,並有感恩卡的製作,藉由這次的活動,期盼小朋友也能點燃一顆感恩惜福的心

 

賀高中部唐遠華老師獲頒教育部高中職社區化推動有功人員

高中部唐遠華老師自93學年度以來,在本校「高中職社區化」教育推廣計畫下,精心規劃一系列的社會人文經典閱讀,提升社區家長及教師經典閱讀風氣。五年來,這項活動已成為本校經常性活動,深受社區家長與師生的好評。唐老師獲此殊榮,實至名歸。

 

圖書館展示「台灣的森林-水彩特展」三週

本校圖書館將於121日到26日展出「台灣的森林-水彩特展」。12 4日舉行開幕茶會,由洪東標老師做作品講解。歡迎大家抽空到圖書館參觀,透過三十餘位畫家們的眼睛及彩筆,絕對可以欣賞到台灣森林之美。

Our School Participates in Huichu Club 19th Annual Flea Market in Hsinchu Science Park

Hsinchu Science Park Huichu Club hosted its 19th annual flea market on November 15th.  Led by Principal Wu and our schools very own wind band quartet, the flea market started with a warm opening. With Principal Wus salesmanship, all the second hand items and tea leaf eggs donated by our staff and student body were sold out, and all proceeds went to the Hsinchu Branch of the Taiwan After-Care Association. A special thanks to the administrators of the Student Affairs and all those who participated for supporting the cause.

 

Ms. Denise Lin Becomes PA President of the 2008-2009 School Year

The 2008-2009 school years first Parents Association meeting was held on the night of October 24th. Thirty-one new members were selected, and nine out of all the members were then nominated. In the end, Elementary Department parent Ms. Denise Lin was elected as the PA president of this school year. We look forward to the great parent-school relationship that will develop under the leadership of President Lin.

 

Congratulations to Elementary Department Students for Winning First, Second and Third Place in the Miaoli County Magistrate Cup Soccer Tournament

The efforts of Elementary Department teacher Ms. Chiou Yun-hsia, combined with those of supportive parents, have not gone to waste.  The soccer team includes boys and girls from grades three to six. With the enthusiastic participation of parents to help them take the initiative, and the guidance of professional coaches, members practice every week. This exercise not only strengthens their health, but also fosters team spirit. After years of activities and after school parent-child soccer practice, elementary students competed in the Miaoli County Magistrate Cup Soccer Tournament and brought back the glory of first, second and third place. Well done! 

 

The Bilingual Department “Humane Society” won one of the “2008 Outstanding Youth Volunteer Service Clubs” from the Hsinchu city government 

The Humane Society of Bilingual Department has been recognized as one of the twenty six awarded clubs entitled 2008 Outstanding Youth Volunteer Service Clubs by the Hsinchu city government; the Humane Society is the youngest one. Last school year, under the guidance of the now retired school nurse Ms. Liang Hui-fang and Ms. Liu Yu-fen, the club members took very good care of these stray dogs. In addition to walking, washing, and feeding these lovable canines, the Humane Society decided to give these thirty dogs vaccine shots.  In order to fundraise the necessary money, these members made and sold 500 calendars with pictures of these stray NEHS dogs.  Congratulations to Humane Society for their outstanding service, dedication, and passion!

 

Several Thanksgiving Activities have been carried out through English curriculum in Kindergarten department

As Thanksgiving approaches, the kindergarten English classes will hold a series of activities related to the holiday. Aside from an introduction to the origins of Thanksgiving, a festive turkey dance performed by the students can be expected as well as a Thanksgiving card-making session. It is hoped that through these activities students will learn more about the meaning of gratitude.

 

Congratulations to High School Department Teacher Yuan-Hwa Tang

High School Department teacher Yuan-Hwa Tang has, since 2004, promoted an educational program within our school which involves a series of classical literature. This program has greatly increased the popularity of reading amongst parents and teachers. For the past five years, this program has been a part of our schools curriculum, and is greatly endorsed by parents. We congratulate teacher Tang for receiving this award, for she definitely deserves it.

 

School Library Displays “The Forests of Taiwan- Special Exhibition of Watercolor” for Three Weeks

From December 1 to December 26, the school library will exhibit The Forests of Taiwan- Special Exhibition of Watercolor. The opening ceremony tea party will be held on December 4, with Mr. Hong Dong-Biao explaining and introducing the artworks. The library welcomes everyone to come and enjoy the works of more than thirty artists, and appreciate the beauty of Taiwan's forests through their eyes and brushes.
