Elementary Department Fifth-Grade Creative
"Constellation Play" for Science Class
The fifth-grade science teacher of the
Elementary Department, Ms Yu-Ling Wong, organized an annual
constellation play to accompany the science lessons on
constellations. It allows students to understand more stories
about constellations through theatrical performance. Since the
start of the second semester, students have formed groups to
collect interesting stories about constellations, design props
for their performances, and rehearse during break time. These
weeks of hard work and practice are all ultimately intended to
present the wondrous myths to their audience. The multifaceted
constellation plays not only allow audiences to experience the
rich imaginations of ancient peoples, but also help inject life
into the constellation lessons in science class and teach the
fifth-graders the virtues of teamwork and creativity. (See page
6 for further information).
