The school my exchange partner attends is Lycée les Pontonniers. This
is an international school located inside a historical monument. It includes
many sections including German and Russian. At her school, I was able to
experience what French schools are like. In contrast to IBSH, my partner's
classes start at 8 AM and can extend till 6 PM. Her class schedule ranges
from day to day, sometimes allowing her free mornings or evenings. Some
other students even have classes to attend on Saturday. Everyday after school,
Yasmine takes me into town to explore. Like any old French town, the center
is the cathedral. All the architecture in town reflects the Osmanian style,
making all individual buildings unique in their own ways. Buildings here
are always a vibrant color with beautifully carved wooden planks. It greatly
contrasts the industrial buildings and skyscrapers located in Hsinchu. It was
quite a sight for sore eyes.

來到一個陌生的國家也沒有很多認識的人讓我很期
待這天去學校能見到同學。這天我們參觀了學校附近的
經典、參觀歐洲委員會、跟上學伴部分的課。在這些活
動當中 , 讓我最出乎意料的是學生一天的課表有時候中間
會插了一個小時的空檔，學生可以利用這個時間寫功課
或甚至離校去做他們想做的事！
