                                                IBSH Mr. Lloyd Loots

                                                    "Hello IBSH Community!
My name is Mr. Loots, and I am thrilled to be joining the 2nd-grade
team at IBSH this year. I grew up in a small town in South Africa and
pursued a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fashion Design before also earning a
Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. My teaching journey spans
10 years in South Korea, where I taught grades 3 to 6.
Outside the classroom, I love playing the guitar, piano, and have
recently started learning the violin. Creativity is a big part of my life, and
I believe it’s essential for both joy and mental well-being. As a fun fact, I
once designed clothing for South African celebrities before transitioning to
                                                teaching.
I’m excited to bring this passion for creativity and learning to our
classroom. Together, we’ll embark on a year full of exploration and growth.
Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

teaching 7th grade world history in Guatemala. I’ve spent more than a

my free time, I enjoy reading, crocheting and sewing, strategy board games,
and spending time with friends. I am thrilled to be here and so grateful to
