Junior-high student Ho Yin-yo, along with five other teammates, represented Taiwan in the first International Junior-High Science Olympiad, which took place in Jakarta, Indonesia from December 5 to 14. In a total of one hundred and seventy three contenders, Ho Yin-yo's over all score ranked top ten percentile, which lead to his gold. All six team members performed exceptionally well; and with individual medals of five gold, one silver, and one honorable mention placed the country in second place, only outrivaled by Indonesia. This gold medal is not only proof of Ho Yin-yo's talent and hard work, but also the pride of NEHS.
