The Guidance Office Will Hold a Series of Life Goals Discovery Activities

The Guidance Office will hold a series of life goals discovery activities this semester. The first will be the ¡§Dream Bulletin¡¨activity held from March through April, which encourages 3rd-year junior high students to boldly declare their wishes for the next half year. Teacher Bingchun Wu has been leading students during guidance class to use words and pictures to illustrate their life aspirations in order to help them organize their education goals and increase their motivation to learn. He encourages students that, as long as they are willing, they should ¡§believe in themselves and give everything their all.¡¨ Soon after the¡§Stories of Dreamers¡¨activity which will be held on April 11. This activity invites parents and community leaders from many career paths to visit 2nd year junior high students during a Wednesday afternoon to introduce their careers and share their thoughts on them. Among the careers represented are business management, publishing, community planning, food and drink (restaurant service), creative writing & literature, and the biomedical fields. Next, there will be a ¡§Viewing Garden of Dreams¡¨ activity, bringing NEHS 8th graders to various vocational high schools to experience courses geared towards career paths and discovery. This is done in the hope that students will better understand the technical and vocational education system and make better plans for their lives in their last year of junior high.
