Âù»y³¡Mr. Dennis Blackmer ¥Õ¤¦¥§¦Ñ®v
Mrs. Blackmer and I have wanted to teach out of the United
States for a long while, and IBSH has given us the opportunity
to do just that. I am originally from California; I moved from
San Francisco to Las Vegas, and finally to Idaho. Maryann, my
wife, was born and raised in New Jersey, moved to Las Vegas, and
then to Idaho. Both of us have had our MA's for longer than
either of us care to remember, and, between us, we have
instructed and counseled high school students for more than 68
years.
We have been enjoying all that Taiwan and Hsinchu Park have to
offer. We have been welcomed by caring staff and parents,
hardworking and dedicated students, and so many residents
willing to come graciously to our aid in your neighborhoods. We
have eaten your food, visited your markets, scooted your
spiders, killed your walking and flying roaches, been bitten by
your mosquitos and best of all, we have walked your streets
together in the rain. We feel very fortunate to have been given
this opportunity. It will remain an adventurous an memorable
experience for us both.

Âù»y³¡Mr. Luke Walker §d¶a¸S¦Ñ®v
Greetings to one and all from the Walker family. Luke and Jamie
are both very excited to be a part of the IBSH family. This is
Luke's first international teaching job and so far he's very
pleased with what IBSH has to offer. While Jamie isn't a teacher
she has been made to feel very welcome by the larger IBSH
community and is happy to call Hsinchu her home. Luke was born
in the great state of Michigan and received his B.A. in history
from Michigan State University. He received his Master's of
Education from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia,
where he also started his teaching career. This is Luke's 4th
year of teaching. He teaches high school social studies and
loves every minute of it. Jamie was born and raised in the great
state of Michigan as well. She received her B.S. in package
engineering from Michigan State University. Currently she is an
avid photographer, blogger, and scooter enthusiast. As a family
this is our first time living abroad, but we are outgoing and
ready to explore all that Taiwan has to offer. We look forward
to making many new friends and wonderful memories here at IBSH.

My name is Peter Pan. I¡¦m from Nashua, New Hampshire in United
States. I graduated from City University of New York and earned
my degree in Childhood Education. I received my Master¡¦s in
Teaching Literacy from Wagner College. This is my seventh year
teaching. I¡¦m so happy to be in Taiwan again doing what I love
to do- teaching kids. I¡¦m an outdoors type of guy. However, I
also love spending time in New York City (where I was raised)
and exploring all the awesome things the city has to offer. I
have also done a good amount of traveling. I think it is
important to experience other cultures. That¡¦s why I¡¦m so happy
to be here in Taiwan.

Âù»y³¡Mr. Ryno Marais °¨¹p¿Õ¦Ñ®v
Our new 6A homeroom teacher is Mr. Ryno Marais, prounced Ray-no
Ma-reh. He is really excited to teach math at IBSH.?
Ryno was born and raised in South Africa and comes from a small
town called, Rawsonville-a place surrounded by beautiful
vineyards. He studied at the University of
Stellenbosch and graduated with a degree in Applied Mathematics.
He's been living in Hsinchu for almost 6 years. He started out
by teaching English
at Principal American School and later on moved to Hu Lin
Primary School. His passion is to teach math and inspire
students to reach their full potential.?
Ryno met his wife here in Taiwan and they got married in January
2012. His wife is the 1B homeroom teacher, Ms. Katherine Shen
(now aka Mrs. Marais). Their first kid is on her way
and will make her debut sometime at the end of January 2013.
They enjoy hanging out with friends and are glad to be part of
the awesome IBSH staff and students.
