Congratulations! Outstanding achievement on the national language competition!

On November 28th, the 2016 national language competition had its grand opening. The final round of the language contest was held in New Taipei City for three consecutive days. The topic for this year was ¡§Generation of Hipsters: Taipei Style.¡¨ Aside from the language competition itself, there were many product designs in the surroundings and travel routes provided to the contestants, which allowed them to tour New Taipei City, creating a new and innovative atmosphere of the competition. The number of contestants and the number of various competition groups all set a new highest record with 2,102 language experts representing different cities coming together for the competition ready to compete in 133 different groups for the school glory and to show their ability. Hunger Twelve, the experience of hunger

On December 13th, four schools in the Hsinchu region held the “Hunger Twelve. The high school department of NEHS EDSC also participated in the event. From 6am, students from NEHS, Hsinchu High School, Chien Kong High School, and Jhu Dong High School gathered in Hsinchu High School’s gym and fasted until 6PM. Within this timeframe, students could only drink water and sports drinks. During the twelve hours, clubs from each of these schools performed, professionals lead group activities, and the staff from World Vision even came to explain the reasons of the original  unger Thirty through videos, pictures, and personal anecdotes. Besides the privileged lives they lead, the students in this event understood with their bodies that there are still people in this world who are starving. Hopefully through this experience, we can empathize with other people's misfortunes, including starvation. We welcome everyone to attend “Hunger Thirty this July, use our own little power to bring attention to the world starvation issues.

Winter Concert bring joys to the world

The annual Winter Concert was held on December 25th by the International Bilingual Department. This year, we invited teacher Effrosyni Rigopoulou to plan the musical concert¡¦s repertoire. Each performing classes presented a variety of dances and adapted to the plot ¡§A Christmas Carol¡¨, showing the results of their hard work. When popular songs began to play, the performers on stage began to dance, spreading their energy and joy amongst the crowd. The audience beamed with joy as they were immersed themselves in the music, captivated by the show. It was as if the audience walked upon the stage and was part of the performance as well. Through this successful concert, we hope to present our warmest wishes and appreciation towards our guests in this winter season.
