AIESEC Emily (Malaysia)

Ni Hao! I’m Emily, an exchange participant from Malaysia who undergoes the exchange program of AIESEC, the biggest youth driven organization. It’s been a blessing to be chosen to work with the National Experimental High School and the National Chiao Tung University, AIESEC Local Committee. First of all, it’s my honor to be able to share my home country’s culture to the students in the school. On the other hand, to host an English discussion table with the students also helps to broaden my point of view to the world issues. A million thanks to the school, especially to Teacher Liu Lin-Shiow, and the fellow volunteers (Cherry, Nancy and Anna) for the awesome and lovely reception. Last but not least, a big THANK YOU to those who came for my classes, despite the busy schedule. Choosing Taiwan as my exchange destination as Taiwan has a different culture with Malaysia, and the aboriginal culture is very much attractive. Meeting different people from different social background, visiting and explore many unfamiliar places, trying out the extra-ordinary food (eg, stinky toufu) concludes the whole exchange experience of mine. I would say it’s a life-changing experience. It gives me a whole new perspective towards how to live a life.??Wishing everyone all the best in the future undertakings, and take care.

Love, Emily

AIESEC Michael Malone (Canada)

Ni Hao! Wo jiao Michael! Wo shi jianadarun! I took part in an exchange with AIESEC, I came to teach you English and help you better understand the huge world we live in! I’ve been so privileged to work with the National Experimental High School and the National Chiao Tung University AIESEC LC. I enjoyed teaching the students about the many natural wonders, sights and diverse cultures of Canada I also loved helping you practice your conversational English and teaching you many tricky idioms that even some Canadians don’t understand! I received a delightful reception from the students, a huge thank you to Dean Liu! Thanks so much to the many students that managed to come to my classes despite their packed schedules full of homework and extra-curricular activities! Taiwan is truly a beautiful country! I was fortunate enough to visit Taipei, Wulai, Taichung and Sun Moon Lake, places I will certainly never forget! People have asked me: did you experience culture shock? I say no, because I come from a city with over one million Chinese people! LOL! My experience was live changing and I will remember the students friendly smiles forever!

AIESEC Med (Nutchanon Friratchatapanich) ^^

Sawatdee ! I am Med from Thailand who internships under TYH project with AIESEC of Chiao Tung University, the international platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential. It’s an honor and pleasure to describe my feeling how much I really enjoy in the National Experimental Senior High School. First of all, I observe some students who come to the class of Thai culture. Students try to learn new things all the time. They ask a lot of good questions which are useful for students although they haven’t been to Thailand. But you can come for travelling in your vacation .Thailand is hot but there are a lot of nature places and fulfill your happy life. Believe me! ^^. Secondly, Students can describe some topics that it concerns with them in English Table class. The most topics are about my favorite teachers , my favorite sport , my favorite movies or my future plan in 5 years . Meanwhile, the students also can share some experience with their friends. Thirdly, Students can communicate in English as a Second English Language. Last but not least, I need to say thank you to principal and teachers of NEHS. I am funny and happy when I taught students in this school. They are my brothers and sisters to me. Taiwan seems like my second home. I must come back to Taiwan one day. Wish to see you again. I hope!
