The first thing I noticed when I arrived
was the traffic situation in Europe. When
I first got out of the airport, there was a
narrow road for cars, and we were there
with twenty-two people slowly crossing
the road with a long line. Meanwhile,
there were many cars on the road, however
drivers were patiently stopped there waiting
for us. If we had been in Taiwan, people
would have honked at us in a rage. Another
example is the tram they have. When you
step on the street of Strasburg and look
around, you probably will find few cars on
the street. In fact, you can just see people
walking, biking or waiting for the tram at
the stop. For residents who live there, the tram is part of their lives. In my experience, with the tram and your
feet, you can go anywhere in Strasburg, and even more. It normally won't take longer than 10 minutes to reach
your destination. We went to school by tram; We went to the shopping mall by tram; We went to the stadium
by tram; We went to the European parliament by tram... and so on. Which means it's a super convenient public
transportation method.

The first class he had was chemistry, it was all in French but
some of it was readable. Most of the students didn't have physical
textbooks but they had online ones. Another thing my partner told
me was that every student received a free laptop from the school
that they could use so everyone in the classroom had the same
laptop. During the class, they assigned questions to the students and
picked one student to answer. During the process, many students
were willing to ask their questions. I think their way of learning is
better in some ways than ours, the students on average were fairly
more engaged in the lesson and the learning process. We had a short
30-minute tour around the school, I saw many details during the tour.
It started with the basic structure of the school and how the school
was made purposely to look more artistic. It was also mentioned that
some parts of the school are repurposed buildings from hundreds of
years ago. The artistic details can be seen throughout the school from
the floor, pillars, stairs, and walls. The school was one of the most
beautiful buildings I saw during my time in France.
