Fresh News: Elementary Department Broadcast
Channel On Air Now
The elementary department broadcast channel,
planned and produced by Mr. Chih-Ching Chu and aided by several
other teachers, is currently on air to serve parents, teachers,
and students. Since last April, the broadcast team has been
planning news to be reported and finding suitable six-graders to
be anchors. After vigorous discussion and preparations, the
broadcast team finally can put the news on air. Up until now,
NEHS Elementary department broadcast channel has three episodes
and has reported sixteen events. In addition to the reports on
the dancing competition and other school events, the broadcast
channel also serves to record our school special curriculum, and
to share educational materials. The broadcast channel, which
focuses on news about school activities, is on the elementary
department website and serves as an important element of media
education.
NEHS Middle School Department Joins the After
School Alternative Program
From January 21, 2011 to January 20, 2012,
the Ministry of Education has instigated the After School
Alternative Program, a free program sponsored by the Ministry of
Education that focuses on utilizing school resources to help
students with their school work and to provide counseling for
them. The Office of Academic Affairs has established curriculums
on two subjects, mathematics and science. We hope this program
will encourage students to learn more and to create a solid
foundation for their academics.
Students from NEHS at Central Taiwan Science
Park Visit NEHS
On 2/17, Principal Chen Kuo-Shiang and the
PTA director Dr. Shieh Fu Shun led the first class of the
National Experimental High School at Central Taiwan Science Park
on a visit to the Senior Department of NEHS. Mr. Chung Tian Ding

charge of organizing the visit’s itinerary, and Class H204 served
as the host for the event. The visit began with the humorous
opening of Lin Ging Lun and Lee Yah Hwah, and was succeeded by
the unique military song welcoming ceremony. The students of
both schools displayed great creativity and enthusiasm as they
shared the results of a multi-dimensional topic project, which
included the use of the English Theatre to display the
intricacies of the English language, and the exploration of the
connection between the High Speed Rail and regional and
technological innovations.
